| Sarah Meeks Imagine & Discover: Heroes Through History, Science Wonder & Explore: Heroes Through History, Science Music and Theater Ms. Sarah Meeks has been in education since graduating with her Bachelors of Science in Education Social Sciences through Missouri State University. Early on in her career she spent time as a Title IX Reading Specialist assistant at Sherwood Elementary. She went on to teach a variety of high school social science courses for 10 years including subjects like AP Psychology and AP Human Geography. She ventured out of the classroom for the past 4 years working at the Veteran Affairs creating educational training videos on a National scale. While working a full time job, Sarah has continued to work at Southgate Church as the Youth Director for the youth group ZAP as well as Teens of Victory summer camp Director. She considers it a joy and a privilege to have had so many years working with kids and teens throughout her life. She has spent time working alongside special needs children inside and outside of the classroom such as volunteering with equine therapy and working with the YMCA as a special needs aid. She believes every individual is valued and uniquely gifted. She loves helping to nurture children into discovering what those talents and interests are. She believes in the importance of fostering life-long learners and spends her own free time exploring and being curious. |
