| Jaden Decker Teacher’s Assistant – Imagine & Discover/Wonder & Explore Art, Literacy Skills, and Literature Ms. Jaden joins the Berea team as a teacher’s assistant, working closely with Ms. Jess to support students in art, literacy skills, and literature. With a creative, hands-on teaching style and a cheerful, compassionate presence, she is deeply committed to making each student feel seen, supported, and celebrated. From music and games to visual illustrations and storytelling, she brings big topics to life in joyful, inclusive ways. Ms. Jaden graduated magna cum laude from Rockhurst University with a degree in Organismal Biology and minors in art and criminal law. She completed a year-long private research study on invasive freshwater snails and previously tutored college students in both biology and art. Since 2023, she’s also taught painting classes with her sister through their Cape Cod-based business, Tides&Co., which blends creativity with connection. At home, Ms. Jaden is a proud dog mom to Oakley, a 100-pound Great Pyrenees/Blue Heeler mix she bottle-fed from just 3 days old. She and her mom have been fostering puppies and kittens for nearly a decade through Stray Rescue St. Louis. A devoted sister and aunt, she spends as much time as possible with her close-knit family—including beach days with her seven nieces and nephews. Ms. Jaden is passionate about helping students grow—not just academically, but as whole people. She’s excited to bring energy, encouragement, and creativity to the classroom, and is so thankful to be part of a community as special as Berea. |
