 | Maggie Sanazaro Associate Director Imagine & Discover Math Wonder & Explore Math School Journalism Ms. Maggie Sanazaro has been part of the Berea family since the very beginning in 2017. She has taught many subjects over the years, most recently leading Math Adventures for Imagine & Discover and Wonder & Explore. Her classroom is full of energy and hands-on, play-based learning that helps students truly enjoy discovering new concepts. Whether they’re building with blocks, solving puzzles, playing math games, or cutting rice krispie treats into fractional parts, her students know they’re in for a fun and engaging experience. Before joining Berea, Maggie earned her degree from Maryville University in Elementary Education with minors in music and history. She spent 7 years teaching in public schools, where she served on several teams including intervention, ELL, and math curriculum/research. Over the subsequent years at Berea, she’s worn many hats in addition to instructor—board secretary, board president, Instructional Specialist, and now Associate Director—but teaching remains one of her greatest joys. In addition to her work at Berea, Maggie is a professional musician and runs her own business offering private piano and voice lessons. No matter the subject, Maggie loves helping students find joy, excitement, and self-confidence in their learning. Ms. Maggie and her husband Nick have four children, all of whom are proud Berea students! She is so thankful her family is part of this treasured community. |
