Did you know that Berea Academy needs your help? Many of you have expressed interest in ways you could assist in Berea’s mission. This year we’ve got a couple new ways you can serve.
Little Pebbles
Berea provides childcare for our teachers who have “little pebbles“.
This is a way for us to honor our commitment to families. We need mature students and/or parents who are willing to serve in our Little Pebbles area for part of the day on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
Students who choose to volunteer in Little Pebbles rather than go to study hall will receive a rebate on their study hall fee on their spring invoice. Parents who have small children are welcome to have their children with them when serving in the Little Pebbles room.
Paula Koranda is organizing our Little Pebbles program. Please contact her if you have questions or are ready to sign up for a needed time slot.

Recess Monitors
New this year at Berea!
Thursdays, from 12:30 – 1:00 pm (after lunch), we are having an outside time. Once a month, Erin Hodges will be organizing sports activities, e.g. volleyball, softball, etc.
Our study hall advisor, Megan, will also be outside during recess time. During inclement weather, we will not go outside.
We would like some parents who enjoy being outdoors to volunteer to help us monitor this outside space. It is a 30-minute time slot once a week.
We do not expect this monitor to work every week – ideally, we would like a number of parents willing to help and will create a sign-up sheet.
If you think you might like to help, or at least to learn more about recess, please contact Judy at judysfun@sbcglobal.net
