Twas the night before break,
And in every classroom
Volunteers bustled about
With shelves, chairs, and vacuums.
Their job was recurring
But this week was special.
Instead of returning,
There was a break in the schedule.
It wasn’t quite spring yet;
Snow was still on the ground
When “Wish It Was Spring”
Break came around.
Students will return soon
Hopefully when they do
They’ll be ready for midterms
And a real Spring Break too.
