Maggie Sanazaro has been with Berea since our founding in 2017. Maggie is one of our first “Instructor with a Teaching Degree” leaders. Her unique experience and education continues to enrich and deepen Berea’s opportunities and skills in the classroom.
Maggie originally planned on using her education training to be an overseas missionary. However, after completing an elementary education degree at Maryville University, Maggie was drawn to the need for high quality, compassionate teachers in her own city of St. Louis. Over nearly a decade of professional teaching, Maggie served high risk students and provided intervention in math and reading.
In addition to her education and professional background, Maggie is a homeschool graduate! She and her husband, Nick, have chosen to continue in home education for their four children. So many aspects of Maggie’s life brings a unique expertise into Berea’s classrooms Maggie excels at creating skill building activities for different levels of understanding and growth.
Ms. Maggie leads Math for Wonder and Explore, Level Up, and Core Concepts. In 2024/2025, Berea’s math programs for these ages are supplements to the home math curriculum. Maggie’s class activities focus on math sense, growing understanding of mathematical concepts and language, kinesthetic experience in math/numbers, and interacting with math in fun ways. Maggie helps students understand the joy of math!
