Nikki joined Berea in Spring 2021, stepping into the second semester of art classes after the instructor experienced a life change. Though the transition was challenging at times, Nikki and her students had a successful end to the 2020/2021 school year. Nikki’s journey with Berea may have had an unusual start date, but she continues to be a pivotal figure for our community!
In 2021/2022 Nikki led instruction at junior high and high school for the full year. With each year at Berea, Nikki grows and stretches in her talent, skill, and leadership. In 2023/2024, Nikki brought her engineering and passion into grades 4th – 12th with classes in Missouri State History and model building.
Niki loves to see her students develop their own personal style. Her main goal is to teach them to make their own art and to embrace their uniqueness. Nikki’s classrooms are supportive, creative spaces for her students. In history, engineering, and the arts Nikki builds time for exploring, learning, and creating.
For 2024/2025, Nikki is continuing to lead classes for 4th through 12th grade, in multiple subjects. Once again, students will learn all about Missouri. Engineering will shift gears, looking to Henry Ford for inspiration. Drawing students will learn more about figure and form.
