Topics covered in Earth and Space include: minerals, types of rock, structure of the earth, weathering and erosion, soil, crust movement, earthquakes, volcanoes, water systems, weather, the environment, astronomy, and space exploration. Students will further explore these topics with exciting hands-on activities and labs.  

Students will develop their critical thinking skills through scientific inquiry and investigation and gain additional experience with the scientific method.  This course will be taught with a biblical worldview, giving students numerous opportunities to discover principles and truths of God’s creation.

This course is targeted to 7th and 8th grade students. However, an interested and supported younger student can be successful as well

Earth and Space Science is part of the Junior High class offerings.
