All new content for 2023/2024!  Art with Ms. Jess focuses on introducing the world around us in a multisensory experience. Students learn art concepts and theory through play and activity, music, and stories. Most of all, students create art! Projects can vary from portraiture, painting, beading, and more. Ms. Jess provides key instruction in art theory basics, such as palette, color theory, perspective, and balance. Through hands-on creation, students build important skills that can be applied in a myriad of ways.
Art is also influenced by the reading selections for the Literature class: On the Banks of Plum Creek (a Little House novel), A Child’s Book of Poems, and Little One-Inch & Other Japanese Children’s Favorite Stories

Art is the Wednesday afternoon session of Wonder and Explore, paired with Science in the morning.
